Make World Photography Day a significant event in our Luxurious Jewelry

In News

The concept of photography came into being in 1837 when Joseph Nicephore Niepce and Louis Daguerre invented the Daguerreotype photographic process. Patents were purchased by the French government in 1839, officially marking the occasion as World Photography Day.

The Initial Hitch
The Daguerreotype photographic equipment was expensive and criticized for the lack of portability. Keeping these factors in mind Eastman Kodak invented the camera, making photography more accessible to ordinary people. During the turn of the 19th century, modern photography and advertisements went hand-in-glove, giving rise to product photography and then some.

From landscapes and portraits to cars, fashion, food, and, of course, jewelry, photography has become an integral part of our modern-day lives

Jewelry Photography

Jewelry photography is an inevitable arm of product photography. Capturing high-end luxury jewelry in a photograph is an art by itself. But to capture the beauty and grace of jewelry, professionals employ numerous tools to get that perfect and remarkably exciting image.

Picture Perfect

Take this stunning 17.69 TCT Tanzanite bracelet, for instance. Our photographers need to use the precise lighting and tools, to ensure the tanzanite gemstones’ vibrant hues were captured with all their inherent beauty intact. The amber tones in our 9.55 CT Morganite pendant would appear orange, instead of the peach pink hue it actually is, again, if it weren’t for the talent of the photographer and his trusty tools and post-processing skills. It is their job to make sure every detail is captured and every potential customer sees a piece’s beauty exactly how it truly is.

Capturing details

It has been over a decade since e-commerce platforms came into being. A good product photograph inspires buyers to buy jewelry online. Our 1.23 TCT Ruby earrings are simply gorgeous, but the meticulous detail of the design, in conjunction with the diamonds and brilliance of the yellow gold, captured so accurately, are what makes this piece as enticing as it really is.

A good jewelry product-shot makes it easier for buyers to understand the sentiment behind the product and the level of detail. The picture of this 8.53 CT tourmaline ring gorgeously spotlights the size and unique shape of the gemstone. The photograph also emphasizes the beauty of the diamonds surrounding the octagon-shaped gem.

At GemBleu we acknowledge, appreciate and applaud the efforts that a photographer invests in making our products look authentic and appealing. It takes a lot for a photographer to produce a photograph that emulates the exacting details of the product together with the emotion that it reverberates. We celebrate World Photography Day as a significant event in the annual calendar.
